The Palmetto Championships, South Carolina's largest and strongest junior tournament, was played in Belton and Florence between July 11 and July 26. The tournament, which was originally scheduled to be played over Memorial Day weekend, was postponed due to Covid-19 and part of the tournament was moved to Florence due to a lack of available tennis courts in the Belton and Anderson areas.
The Belton Tennis Championships is a new event for lower ranked players. This one day event will determine singles and doubles champions in 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U. The Palmetto Championships is the South Carolina junior qualifying tournament and has been played in Belton since 1957. Players who do well in the Palmetto advance on to the Southern and National championships. The tournament attracts 475 of the state’s top junior players.

The Chick-fil-A Palmetto Championships has been played in Belton, S. C. since 1957 and is South Carolina's highest level closed junior tournament (Level 1 S. C. and Level 2 Southern). Championships are determined in 5 age divisions for both boys and girls in singles and doubles.

Of the 21 teams who participated, the Tigers came out on top in many of the draws. In mixed doubles, Belton took 1st and 2nd place with the doubles duo Brynn Harmsen and Zechariah Gauna edging out Trinity McEowen and Jack Rahm in a competitive 3rd set tiebreaker win. Similarly in boy’s doubles, the Tigers took 1st and 2nd place with Roshan Abraham and Josh DeHart defeating Dean Biava and Drew Biava in the finals.
